Grey's Anatomy--- Guide Dog Style

Today Marcella woke up and didn't want to get out of her crate, very unusual since she had been in her crate since 8 pm the night before. She had woken up twice during the night, which is quite normal for her when she is in heat to have diarreah, but she didn't have any problems. Finally when she got out- I noticed she was limping quite obviously on her back legs, she had a hard time getting up the stairs and was having a hard time moving. I called my leader and told her since We were both headed to a leader meeting with our CFR so I thought I could just get approval for for her to get to the vet while I was there. Well after much work and many phone calls we got ahold of my vet on his cell phone. Poor Marce has a pinched nerve! How sad is it that my work sent me home to "Care for my sick daughter" I was losing it every 10 minutes and everytime my mom would call me with an update. A trip to the vet and 2 shots later Marce is still down for at least 48 hours and it's not hard to keep her down. She is normally a very bouncy puppy but she has been in the same position all day. Wish me luck trying to get this one to walk to get some circulation going in her hind end, per vet reccomendations. :S
