Darn Golden hips!

2 weeks after heading to GDB, Lana took a round trip home.

Her hip scores came back less than perfect and sadly, she can't be a guide dog.

We are super sad about it, but we are happy she has a new home close by. :)

My parents have decided to adopt her and she will get to be a therapy dog for my younger brothers with autism and anxiety. So far, it's like she's lived there for forever. She does well with them, and is fitting in great. She even knows to stay away from their chihuahua, Teddy. (He doesn't play well with others. He's like the dog version of Grumpy Cat.)

I think it's a good thing.

Senior Pictures~ Princess style

Lana is leaving us tomorrow for Breeder Evals/Training. We are so proud of her and what a good little girl she is. We sure love her and wish her luck in whatever she gets to do in life- whoever ends up with this pretty girl, sure is lucky!

This afternoon, we were able to get a few last minute pictures before it got too dark. She's pretty good at turning her head the second the shutter activated, so we got a lot of fuzz... and not the cute golden kind of fuzz, but the blurry picture kind of fuzz. Here's a few of the best ones:

(Wow! This girl sure is pretty!)
