How to take a picture of a puppy...er-- or a 20 month old... in the snow

Last week we got 10 inches of snow on our deck. Marcella LOVES snow!

I finally got some pictures of Marcella that aren't *too terrible*... As you can tell by the pictures she was fairly mad at me for making her sit still that long and would NOT look at the camer for anything. Enjoy!

Even happier-- She obviously had her ego crushed while doing obedience... she wouldn't look at me for anything- and she normally stares at me...waiting for that "okay" to release her.

This is the 2 seconds between burying herself in the snow and getting up to look at the dog that was walking past.

New job...

Yay! I found out last night I got a promotion-- which really isn't a HUGE promotion- but I'm happy I get more money and get to learn new things, considering I've worked there a total of almost 5 years (which is alot when you're only 21) I have a bunch of pictures to post-- and yes a video of me and my Sign Language-- this should be interesting... but I need to figure out how to edit it. I also want to edit another picture I have- Erin, I need you and your photoshopping skills! Here are a couple to hold you over... My dog went "SPLAT"!

How to remember your puppies...

Keep a tag from every one of them and keep them on your keychain... Sad thing is- I can remember which tag comes from which puppy...

I will be teaching in ASL (American Sign Language) primarily in the Portland, Oregon Mission... I tried to find a current picture online of the mission but couldn't find one... So I will try and make one tomorrow... :)

Anna- my mission covers Salem, but not Dallas... But I'm not sure exactly where I will be until I'm actually out there. I'll let everyone know though.

Hopefully I will be able to update my blog (I will make a new private one that has my current address and what I'm doing)-- but I can't promise anything. I would love letters :)

Last night my friends and I went out to eat becuase I couldn't stand just sitting at home. It was very yummy- I heart Noodles & Co. I got the Penne Rosa in case you were wondering.

Then we went to go watch Music & Lyrics with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore- Hillarious movie BTW!! Very Quotable...Best line in the movie? "I do have great insight, don't I? I would use it on myself, only I don't have any problems." ROFL! It was Hiiiilarious!

So we get back to my house and make the yummiest Chocolate Cake EVER. Then we wait... While waiting my friend, Andrea- who is a map nerd, brought a huge world map and everyone got to guess one stateside and one foriegn. (I have a picture of everything but forgot my memory card reader... sheesh!) So, my dad came home and my brother handed me my big white envelope...

So for those of you who don't know, after Marcella goes back I will be taking an 18 month sabatical to go on a mission for my church. I've been waiting to find out where I'm going- it seems like forever...and yesterday in my mailbox was the big white envelope. I'm waiting to open it until my dad gets home from his business trip on Friday at like 10 pm...I'm so super excited. Any guesses--- you can chose one in the states and one outside the states... Whoever gets it right- I'll, um, send you a canadian quarter I found yesterday at work. ;) More incentive for you canadians to try- you can actually SPEND the quarter... haha

Yesterday Marcella and I decided to go on a walk. She was being very good and looked so pretty so I went home an got my camera so I could take some pictures of her... so as soon as I brought out the camera she decides to be extremely facinated with the sunset or something--- the result: a good reason why I shouldnt' be a professional photographer...

Forever in training

I guess I haven't posted in a while. So my internet at home is down- thank goodness I work at a computer lab otherwise I might have just wasted away a little more quickly than I already am- for lack of talking to my favorite IM people. Not much has happened this week besides Marcella is officially on the recall for March 30th to San Rafael- Amber take care of my baby!!! I just had someone who works at Weber come up and tell me she is planning a goodbye party for her when she leaves... spoiled rotten girl! I'm pretty sure she should just stay with me as a Puppy-in-Training forever!!

back to school... back to school... I am going back to school...

So It's back to school for Marcella and I. Yesterday was the official starting day of the semester. 8 am brings us Communications 1010, then Math 1050, following an hour break to drive up to the main campus and an astronomy class in a very dark, comfortably seated, planetarium... Zzzzzzz. Today was Math and Institute (Religion class). Thursday night I have my last "first day of class" in Music 1010. Wow... don't you wish you could be my Guide Dog Puppy and follow me everywhere! Marcella is glad to be back to naps but today she's just sick of following me around! I've been trying to look for a remote control Lightning McQueen for my brother for his birthday and Radio Shack said that they had one at the store in the mall... so Off I head after class to the mall. LIARS! They guys said his computer told him there were 2 in stock but he couldn't find it so he took my name and # and said he would call if he found it... Sheesh! I was so excited to get that for him! I guess it's back to the internet! Hopefully I can find it-- or even better the guy at Radio Shack can find it!

Well... Angel seems to enjoy having a backyard :) She lives in an Apartment with her handler and I think she has practically lived on the deck- sunning herself... At least I'll get a nice tan outside- and Marcella loves to tag along too :)
